Question 1. What is Organic Food?

Organic food refers to food items that are prepared according to the norms set by an organic certifying body.Organic refers not to the food itself, but to how the food is produced. Organic food production is based on a system of farming that maintains and replenishes the fertility of the soil.  On an overall basis, organic food is food prepared and processed without using any chemicals. That is, organic food production does not involve the use of chemical fertilizers, chemical pesticides, or chemical preservatives.
